Welcome to Berowra Rural Fire Brigade...

We love where we live.

Berowra is a unique community, surrounded by bushland, national parks and some of the most spectacular parts of the Hawkesbury. But living where we do also means living with bushfire risk. Berowra and Berowra Heights sit along a ridge surrounded by bushland. Bushfire has affected our community before, and it will remain part of the environment we live in.

Berowra Rural Fire Brigade is made up of local volunteers who give their time to protect and support our community. We respond to bush and grass fires, structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, storm damage and other emergencies, both locally and further afield when we're needed.

Just as importantly, we work with our community before an emergency happens. Preparing your property, understanding your bushfire risk, having a Bush Fire Survival Plan and making decisions early can make a significant difference when conditions deteriorate. If you live locally and need help understanding your bushfire risk, get in touch. We're always happy to have a conversation or arrange a property inspection.

And if you've ever thought about volunteering, we'd love to hear from you. There are plenty of ways to contribute, both on and off the fireground.

We're locals protecting locals.

Welcome to Berowra Rural Fire Brigade.
